Relationships

Social Anxiety Disorder can affect many relationships in your life whether it be family, friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend. The reason social anxiety affects these relationships is because not only are you afraid of social interactions but you also choose to avoid them instead of facing them. People with social anxiety would rather stay indoors then having to face the world. Now you can't blame us for being afraid its not that we don't want to go out and have fun but just like any phobia we get extremely anxious to the point of feeling faint. You wonder why they can face there fear one day and go outside and then on another occasion they can't, well let me explain when people are afraid of spiders and choose to try to face there fear and go near or even touch a spider just to get rid of the fear, but that doesn't mean that they will go near one ever again maybe in time similar with social phobia. You can face it one day and then maybe the next you can't. Also there are many stages where you feel more scared then other times. So next time try to understand instead of judging because that will just increase the persons phobia.

Environments

What makes people brave to do what they want. Do you ever feel as if where you live impacts your personality. Like living in the city makes you more afraid to go out. If only you lived in a suburban area you would be able to go outside. Is it the environment that impacts who we really are and molds us into this scared person. Or do people in suburban areas still struggle with SAD. Do you think that moving to an area that has less people will help you get over SAD. I don't honestly know if my SAD would be better if I moved to a suburban area but I do wonder if that's the case. How about you do you think your environment is whats causing your SAD? Maybe. Maybe not.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Sincerely,
                                                                                                                                Daff S.

SAD Outfit Idea

I love clothing very much so I decided to look for some clothes online and create an outfit and post it here. For people with social anxiety the last thing you want is attention. So as funny as this sounds I'm going to put up an outfit that is cute but not so " Hey look at me". I do not own any of these photos. Hope you like. I'm might do one for boys later on.

                                                                                         Sincerely,
                                                                                            Daff S.

I'm really hoping that people will start to comment on the posts so we can start getting the most important topics to all of us out there. I will try to blog everyday so far so good. In many blogs people start to blog and then after not getting any feedback they stop but if months down the road I don't have any feedback I will still be blogging since I really enjoy expressing my journey with SAD. So in the next post I will telling you guys a little story of my struggle with SAD. So if anyone out there is reading stay tune.

                                                                                       Sincerely,
                                                                                         Daff S.

What Do You Do?

Lots of people with Social Anxiety or Social Phobia decide to stay in most the time and skip out on important things. I had my fair share of hiding from reality and still do to this day. But I had to start getting out there not because of choice but because of obligation. I had to go to school and get a job. These things are probably the most scariest things for people with SAD because you have to be around lots of people. I was so afraid to go to school I just wanted to skip it but if I did I would fail so I had to push myself to go which was very difficult. But the worst one was getting a job and having to be interviewed. Trying to act completely normal and calm seemed impossible but I did it and  let me tell you the interviewer didn't think I was shy I should of won an Emmy. But just because I was able to get over my fear at the moment doesn't mean it completely went away I was still scared. The real reason why I was able to do it was because my pride my mom always told me " If they can do it, why can't you ". She was absolutely right I just couldn't watch other people that are human just like me do what I wanted to do, so as scared as I was, shaking and everything I pushed myself to go outside. Even if I looked nervous and anxious I can say that I did it. But now I'm waiting to start college in January and I'm unemployed. Let me tell I'm very scared to start college but I can't say how its going just yet because I haven't started but Decembers coming and soon January and I'm freaking out. But all I'm thinking is what will my brain come up with next to get me out of the house and into college. So this is another SAD post, now its your turn to share. Feel free to express how you guys live on a day to day basis. Do you go out? Do you have friends? Do you have a job? Do you go to school? etc.

                                                                           Sincerely,

Social Anxiety Introduction

Hello, Welcome to my blog for social anxiety. This blog is just a start for what I have planned for people with social anxiety. I to have social anxiety but I will tell you about that in another post. First off I want to say I am not a professional writer, I am just basically writing this because this is what I was looking for to help me with social anxiety a place where someone talks about there struggles and where everyone can share their experiences about SAD  (Social Anxiety Disorder). I want people to be able to come on to this blog and express how they feel about a certain topic so we can discuss this together which will hopefully have a great outcome for all of us. Please feel free to state your opinion don't be afraid to speak up because I hope we can all get through this together. I will try to post small blogs so you won't feel overwhelmed with to much reading and just read the topic your most interested in. Since I am just starting this blog there isn't much to read but your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.
